THE ANCIENT ART OF SHOEMAKING FROM 1945 TO THE PRESENT DAY
Calzoleria Marini is a name that represents half a century of tradition.
The company was in fact founded in 1945 by the innate passion for shoemaking of Giuseppe Marini. A passion which continued in San Remo during the Second World War.
It is here that Mr. Marini deepened his knowledge gaining experience also, and above all, repairing footwear.
It is in Surbo, in 1945, that Giuseppe Marini decides to broaden the horizons of his work by opening a small manufacturing facility.
Mr. Marini immediately distinguished himself by the attention and the great seriousness in the creation of handmade shoes for men.
Quality that he has also passed on to his children who started working in the footwear company in the 60s: the first collaborator with the father is Salvatore, the firstborn, followed later by Fiorello and Ada. The latter, together with her mother Maria, deals specifically with the stitching of the uppers.
The cut of the leather, the stitching of the upper, and every other detail were made by hand because only in this way could a quality product be created.
In the ’80s the company is taken over by Antonio Marini, the youngest of the children, who continues even today to create handmade shoes for men following his father’s teachings.
Calzoleria Marini is today one of the most renowned companies in the shoemaking industry because, while remaining a small business, it is always attentive to innovations but without ever giving up the craftsmanship of its products.
